    Our Meridian chemical toilets are fully self-contained and do not require a connection to water, drainage or power making them ideal for construction sites where no mains facilities are available.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes, with only 1900kg gross weight the units are much easier to tow than other steel panelled units of similar size

  • Minimum hire is 1 week

  • Very easy pick up and set down in 30 seconds or less.  Gross weight of 1900kg so easy to tow and move.  When unhooked from the towing vehicle they can be easily pushed (min 2 persons) into final resting position on hard standing.

  • Yes absolutely, just unplug the 230V generator plug and insert the mains connection plug.

  • The Welfare Cabin is protected from theft with 3 x high security composite doors with 2 deadlocks. Double doors to generator with 2 deadlocks.  When in static position the unit also cannot be towed unless access is gained to the controls located inside the welfare cabin.

  • The EcoSmart12 has a host of environmentally sensitive features, including PIR activated lighting that helps to cut down on energy use and running costs.  Hot water storage is provided for up to 4 hours without running the generator.

  • Invoiced monthly net 30 days.  New customers pay 4 weeks in advance.

  • The EcoSmart12 units are perfect for utility gangs or tight sites with dimensions 2420mm Wide x 3615mm long by 2700mm high.

    The law states that clients and contractors have responsibilities regarding welfare facilities on construction projects.

    Contractors are legally obliged to provide welfare facilities, and clients must ensure this happens. The pre-construction information prepared by the client should include the arrangements for welfare provision.

    On notifiable projects (longer than 30 days or 500 person days), the client must ensure the construction phase does not start unless they are satisfied that there are arrangements for welfare facilities to be provided.

    Contractors must maintain the welfare units for utility contracts throughout the life of the project. The nature and scale of facilities required will depend on the size, location and type of project. Facilities include, Toilets, Washing facilities, Drinking water, Changing rooms and lockers, Facilities for rest
